Introducing the Cheetoh

The CHEETOH is the newest wild/domestic hybrid cat, utilizing very specific bloodlines of the Bengal and the Ocicat breeds. The Cheetoh breeding program is based on a very specific 5 year breeding plan that was several years in the making. Researched and developed by Carol Drymon of Wind Haven Exotics in 2001, the first litters of cubs arrived in 2003.  Subsequently other qualified breeders throughout the United States were invited to participate in the Cheetoh breeding program.  Greenstone Cheetohs is the only Cheetoh Cats International Authorised Breeder here in New Zealand, and we are proud to be involved with breeding this beautiful cat so that Kiwi’s can experience the joy of owning one of these amazing creatures.

Whilst incorporating distinctive characteristics of both the Ocicat and Bengal, the CHEETOH Cat has its own attributes.  These include unsurpassed gentleness of character and the wild look that can otherwise only be found in the jungle.  This cat has an enormous amount of energy, especially the cubs, who expend it in keeping themselves and their human companion entertained.  The CHEETOH Cat is also extremely intelligent, very curious and quite dog-like in their ways.  CHEETOH’S are a sweet natured lap cat that look wild but have a dependable docile nature and can be trusted around anyone, especially children.
The CHEETOH comes in a variety of colours and markings. The spotted and/or rosette spotted appearance with the large eyes and ears, enhances the distinctive wild look. The coat which is sleek and shiny, is another of its distinguishing attributes. The fur is very short and thick, yet soft and velvety.

The CHEETOH'S stunning looks combined with their friendly purrsonality make them hard to resist as an exotic shorthaired cat to share your home with.

The CHEETOH is now a recognised breed and registered with United Feline Organisation in the USA.
