About Us

Hi, we are Leanne and Mike George, and would like to welcome you to the home of Greenstone Cheetohs NZ.   In 2001 we built and opened a Boutique Boarding Cattery www.boutiquecattery.co.nz on our 5 acre country property in Ramarama, Auckland, which today is a very successful recognised boarding establishment in the pet industry.  www.boutiquecattery.co.nz By 2006 we had decided we didn’t just want to board other people’s cats, we wanted to breed something special too – along came the Birman Cat. We bred and showed our Birmans for just over 3 years until early 2010. Todate we are still actively involved with the Birman Cat Club of NZ, however our sole focus now is furthering the Cheetoh breed here in New Zealand.

The Cheetoh is a breed that grabbed our eye back in mid 2008, by chance as we browsed a Kitten Noticeboard site online.  The opportunity to purchase 2 females presented itself and we were immediately intrigued by this new exotic patterned cat that we had never heard of before.  Their outgoing and friendly nature, along with the unusual coat pattern, was what drew us to them and we quickly decided that this was a cat we wanted to know more about. 

In Winter of 2008 we imported a F4 Cheetoh Boy from Hawaii - thanks to Helen Savadge of Foxfyre Cattery for entrusting us with his care.  Our boy is pursonality + and has an exceptionally relaxed manner for a Stud Boy. 

We currently have 4 Cheetoh Girls in our Cheetoh breeding programme ~ 3 Brown Spotted (1 Australian Import, 2 NZ bred) & a Snow Marbled Lynx (NZ bred). 

We are registered with United Feline Organisation of America, and all out kittens are pedigree registered through the Catz Inc Organisation of NZ. Leanne has been recently appointed Secretary to the Cheetoh Breeders Association to assist Carol Dryman in her efforts to develop the Cheetoh breed further, which a real honor.
